Âmago Audio respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you visit our website, contact us, or register your product. It applies to www.amagoaudio.com and any pages we control that link to this Policy.

2. Who is the Data Controller

3. Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of data:

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone, country/region, shipping address (if you send us devices for service).
  • Product registration data: product model/serial number, purchase date, reseller/marketplace, proof of purchase.
  • Support data: information you provide in emails or forms (issue description, media files you choose to share).
  • Technical/usage data: device/browser type, pages visited, general analytics and cookie preferences (collected in an anonymized or pseudonymized manner where possible).
  • Founder’s Circle / Early Supporter Program data: full name, email address, industry/role, and any comments or feedback provided via the Founder’s Circle form.

We do not collect or process payment card data on our site. Purchases occur via authorized resellers under their own privacy policies.

4. How We Use Your Data (Purposes & Legal Bases)

  • Product registration & warranty (Art. 6(1)(b) contract): validating eligibility, managing repairs/replacements, contacting you about your device.
  • Customer support (Art. 6(1)(b) contract; 6(1)(f) legitimate interests): responding to inquiries, troubleshooting, service logistics.
  • Safety notices/recalls (Art. 6(1)(c) legal obligation; 6(1)(f) legitimate interests): important communications related to product safety.
  • Newsletter (Art. 6(1)(a) consent): sending updates and news when you sign up. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 11).
  • Website operation & improvement (Art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests): basic analytics, security, and performance measurement.
  • Founder’s Circle / Early Supporter Program (Art. 6(1)(a) consent): managing membership, communicating with members, and gathering feedback on early products.

We do not sell your data and we do not engage in automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Data Recipients (Processors & Independent Controllers)

We share data only as needed:

  • Processors (acting on our instructions): secure hosting/cloud providers, email & helpdesk tools, web forms, and analytics providers for anonymized statistics. We require DPAs and appropriate safeguards.
  • Independent controllers: authorized resellers act as separate controllers for purchases, returns, and their customer support. Please refer to their privacy notices.
  • Legal/Compliance: where required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or users.
  • Founder’s Circle: data may be shared with internal teams managing the program, and with service providers assisting with form administration, communications, or prototype feedback. Appropriate safeguards are in place.

6. International Transfers

We prioritize EEA/UK data centers. If data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we use lawful safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and, where necessary, supplementary measures.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose collected:

  • Product registration & warranty records: warranty term (up to 4 years) + up to 2 years for service history and compliance.
  • Support inquiries: typically 24 months from last interaction.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Analytics/cookie data: generally 6–14 months depending on tool and settings.
  • Founder’s Circle membership data: retained for the duration of membership and up to 2 years after membership ends, unless deletion is requested earlier.

8. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies (site functionality) and, with your consent, optional analytics cookies to understand traffic and improve performance. You can manage your preferences in our cookie settings or your browser.

  • Essential: required for basic site operation.
  • Analytics: optional, used to measure usage in aggregate (no ads personalization on our site).

You can change or withdraw cookie consent at any time via your browser settings or the cookie banner/preferences (where available). Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, and we limit access to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

11. Newsletter & Communications

Newsletter sign-up is optional and based on your consent. You can unsubscribe anytime by emailing info@amagoaudio.com with the subject “Unsubscribe.” We will process your request promptly. We do not share subscriber lists with third parties for marketing.

12. Children’s Data

Our website and products are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us to delete it.
